Growing Needs in Our Community of over 6500 CMCR members!!!

In 2025, we saw an exponential increase in requests for assistance, with food support being by far the most common need. Households can request a $100 grocery shop twice per year to help supplement their food needs.

This year alone, our volunteers completed an astounding

GROCERY SHOPS for people in need!
In addition to food support, we also responded to countless requests for help sourcing and delivering essential household items — from large items like beds, fridges, washers, dryers, and furniture, to smaller necessities such as clothing, bedding, kitchenware, and more.

The Power of Community Partnerships

Strong communities thrive on collaboration, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such outstanding community partners.

IZCO Technology Solutions

IZCO Technology Solutions supported Caremongering Campbell River by helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Their practical support and commitment to community care made a real difference, and we’re grateful to have them as a local partner.

holy tennis shoes, Batman! Their back-to-school shoe drive collected hundreds of new and gently used shoes. We hosted several free pop-up shoe shops where children and their adults could “shop” for shoes at no cost. For the second year in a row, Spinner’s also supported a Christmas toy drive, with toys distributed at our community Christmas dinner.

Our 4th Annual Community Christmas Dinner

On December 16th, we hosted our 4th Annual Community Christmas Dinner, an event that truly reflects the spirit of our community. This special day would not be possible without so many generous partners:
Watching children choose toys and families enjoy a warm meal together was incredibly heartwarming. It was a wonderful success and an honour to be part of.

The Heart of Caremongering: Our Volunteers

Our screened volunteers are some of the most remarkable people we know. They work tirelessly, always with compassion and a smile. To every volunteer — thank you, from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
We recently asked volunteers to share some highlights from their year:
These moments are why we do what we do.

Looking Ahead

If the first few days of 2026 are any indication, it’s going to be another busy year. By mid-January, our volunteers will have completed 35 grocery shops — and that means we are now officially out of funds.

We are sometimes asked how funds can disappear so quickly after a large donation. The answer is simple: the need doesn’t stop. While support may slow or pause briefly when funds are low, it never truly stops. Many of our volunteers personally cover grocery costs, waiting to be reimbursed once funds are available. These are challenging times, but the commitment remains strong.

Thank You Thank You Thank YOUUUU!
Gratitude in all directions!
